Disposable Teens

"Disposable Teens" is a new Web Series about the plight of Austin a gay teen who, when forced out of the closet by his reactionary parents, ends up running away and is forced to live on the streets. When his plea for help is ignored by the homeless shelter, he instead accepts an offer of help from a handsome stranger who has very ulterior motives.

This very impressive and totally realistic five part series is written and directed by Brian Pelletier for Outlicious TV, and stars an impressive young cast that includes Chris Jehnert, Lucio Nieto and Andy Rappos.  The final episode airs on February 8th on You Tube, and this, and the earlier episodes, can be found on the Outlicious Channel.

P.S. Outlicious TV also produced a delightfully funny web-series last year about a Flying Attendant who can never get laid.  Called "Flying High With Charlie" and starring Brandon Salerno : it is very cute, and well worth checking out.

Making It Big : a new Irish LGBT Web Series

We all think that the grass is always greener elsewhere even when our home turf is Dublin and the lush countryside.  Well, that at least is what this group of seven 20-something-year-old gay and lesbians think and they have opted to chance their arm and start new lives in Barcelona, one of Europe's most fun-loving and free-thinking cities.  Being gay is not the issue here, but the chance to find out who they are really are away from the prying eyes of family and well-meaning friends back home is too tempting an opportunity to pass on.

What will also be different about their new lives is the fact that they are going to film it all and make it into a new reality series of their own called "Making It Big".  It will follow all their struggles with trying to find new careers and developing their talents and fulfilling their long held dreams and aspirations.  Some of them, like Sean and Stuart have been friends since childhood, but others like Abbie (the lone Brit in the group) who is the new girlfriend of Emma, is still getting to know the others.  The one thing they all have in common (besides being Irish and gay) is they all have artistic ambitions  whether it be in music or in performing, and they have this refreshing boundless energy and conviction that they will succeed.

In Episode one, which will be released on You Tube on January 14th, as we start to get know this extremely engaging group, there are already wee hints that even the best of friends such as them, can get involved in each others conflicts.  It is fairly obvious too that some of them have more talent than the others so it is unlikely before the series of 9 episodes is over that all of them will 'make it big' professionally.  However judging from what we have seen already, the journey to get to that part is going to be extremely enjoyable to watch and savor.

The entire show is filmed and edited by the cast which in itself is a new take on things.  Let's hope they don't fight to stop putting in 'the warts and all' to make this one reality show that could actually end up being quite real.

How to Speak Like a Fierce Queen

Ever worried that you were not keeping abreast with all the right glingo (that's gay lingo to you), then check out a wonderful webseries by comedian/performer Mike Diamond who will make you blush with some of  his definitions of the phases that get bandied around these days.  He is joined by Matinga, who puts a whole new meaning to the word 'fierce' as they teach you how to speak 'Queen's English' in their hilarious, and often dirty, 'Homewerq' series.  If you love this one as much as we do, be sure to click the button below to subscribe to Mike's You Tube Channel.

Coffee Talk : a funny new gay Web Series

Skyrider Films an international alliance of LGBTQ-friendly writers and filmmakers who produce entertaining short films with a social message, have launched a rather wonderful new anthology web-series that has had us chuckling for days. 'COFFEE TALK' is about college friends who obsess over the latest gay hot-button issues over a couple of coffee. Often one of the (cute) men is stressing out unnecessarily over what has got his knickers in a twist on that particular day, whilst his bestie or room-mate is much more laissez faire over the whole mini-drama. Each story has been made with a different set of actors and by a different crew but they are all very funny, particularly with the unexpected twist that neatly finishes every 3 minute film.

The first movie that has just been released is called 'Tattoos and Muscles'. Guys with tattoos are a real turn off for Tim, but will muscle hunk Mark be able to change his mind? Not a tough one to work out, but very sweet to watch nevertheless.

Six movies have been completed so far and they cover subjects such as gay athletes, men dressing feminine, sugar dads, and our favorite two episodes : gay dads and gay marriage. They will be released one at a time over the coming months and to ensure you do not miss out sign up at http://www.skyriderfilms.com/ to watch the movies for free.

Meanwhile here is the series trailer to give you a glimpse of what is still to come.

Capitol Hill is simply capital!

One of our favorite campy queer web series CAPITOL HILL is back with Season 2.  Set in Seattle 'the greatest city in the world' it is a perfect parody of some classic  O.T.T. T.V. series of the 1970's and 1980's. It follows the fortunes of Rosie Smells (played by Waxie Moon) a young innocent girl who has escaped the backwoods of Portland Oregon and lands herself a job as a TV presenter on her very first day in the City (it's a Fairy tale after all!)  Written and directed by Wes Hurley, each episode is introduced by Ben de La Creme who was Miss Congeniality on Season 6 of Ru Paul's Drag Race.

For the second season the Cast will also star  Drag performer and RuPaul's Drag Race season five winner Jinx Monsoon, with appearances from Big Brother contestant Kenny Brain (of the infamous leaked Grindr photos too that showed ALL his huge talent) and adult film star Colby Keller.
